BGDC Distribution Appoints Travis Friend as General Manager of Roanoke, VA Facility

Seasoned 3PL leader brings more than a decade of operations experience to growing contract logistics provider

ROANOKE, VA – March 23, 2026 – BGDC Distribution, a full-service contract logistics provider with facilities in Forest Park (Atlanta) GA, Salem/Roanoke VA, and St. Louis MO, announced today the appointment of Travis Friend as General Manager of its Roanoke, Virginia distribution facility.

Travis joins BGDC with more than a decade of operations and inventory control leadership in the 3PL industry. He most recently served as a General Manager with DHL Supply Chain, where he built a reputation as a versatile and effective leader across several high-profile accounts, including 7-Eleven, Goodyear, Nike, and Samsung. Outside of work, Travis is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, fishing, and water sports, and a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan. He brings the same focus and dedication to his personal life as he does to his work.
